Every shipment is executed under the applicable rules of the United States federal agencies. On commercial cargo to Cuba we work in coordination with a law firm specialised in the matter.
Before loading, not afterwards
The authorisation applicable to the goods and to the consignee is determined before the cargo leaves. It is slower at the start and far quicker at the end: goods held at the port cost more than goods prepared properly.
If your operation has a particular feature —sensitive goods, a consignee that must be screened, an origin calling for additional documentation— say so from the outset.

Compliance is held up by both sides
We need to know what the goods are, where they come from and who receives them. It is not bureaucracy: it is what allows the mode, the authorisation and the real transit time to be determined.
- A truthful description of the contents and their value.
- Full details of the final consignee.
- Origin documentation where the goods require it.
- Advance notice if the cargo has any special handling condition.
